On the weekend of May 16 Am. Ch Overland’s Southern Comfort picked up the following wins; Group 2 – Mr. Morley Thornton, Group 1 - Denise Cornelssen, Group 2- Fred Gordon, Group 1- Michael Hill, and Group 2 - Michael Lanctot. Zander’s daughter Omega Terracotta Escapade came along for the weekend and picked up 8 points and a puppy group, Caper is co-owned with John and Cathy Freeman.

Laurie Dodge of Laud Collies emailed this weekend with exciting news about her litter sired by Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort (Zander) over the weekend 3 of her puppies Majesty, Sol, and Wish finished their Championships with Breed and Group Placements over Specials. Congratulations!!!

At the Canadian Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Association 50th Anniversary Show Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort went Best of Breed, Windancer’s Southern Nights, owned by Anne Brazeau and Penny Murton is Winners dog, Best of winners and Best puppy to finish, and Chippenhook Dream Of A Star is winners bitch to finish. Sue Rioux and Sherry Arsenault also finished their Zander daughter Anjay Eastleigh Anticipation at the Club Canin Bas-Saint- Laurent Show in Quebec gaving Zander 4 new champions for this weekend.

At the Collie Club of Canada National Specialty Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort is best of Opposite to Best of Breed. Congratulations to his son Windancer's Southern Nights on his Winners dog win, and his daughter Chippenhook's Dream of A Star on her reserve winners bitch win. Omega Aristocratic was reserve winners dog.

At the Collie Club of Canada Regional Specialty Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort is Best of Breed while his son Omega High Five goes Winners Dog, Award of Merit and Best Puppy in Sweeps. Congratulations to Barb Robinson on going Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over Specials with her Zander daughter Chippenhook Dream Of A Star.

At Nickel District Kennel Club Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort wins Group 1 under the following judges, Michael Shoreman, Rosemary Shoreman, Sandy Alexander, and Thomas Alexander and tops this of with a Group 1 at the Nickel Classic.

Am. Can. Ch. Overland’s Southern Comfort wins a Group 4 under Specialty Judge James Frederiksen at the Windsor Kennel Club Show
Friday March 6 Omega-High-Five-Benjamin attended his first show and was awarded Winners dog, Best of Winners followed on Saturday with a Best of Breed over a special.

then proud by going Group 1 at the Eukanuba Top 100 Classic, what a thrill. Thanks to Judge Judi Byrne and Michael Shoreman for this exciting win. On February 22 & 23 his daughter Ch. Omega Especially Drumlin was Best of Breed and Group 4 and his son Omega Aristocratic was winners dog on the 23, this was this young dogs first show and we look forward to great things for him in the future.
Jan 6, 2009 Ch. Omega Especially Drumlin picked up a Group 3 and was Best of Breed all three days at the Wildwood Kennel Club shows.
Jan 2009 started of in style with Ch. Omega Especially Drumlin going Group 1st under Mr. Fred Bassett at the Elgin County Kennel club show. Daisy Mae did very well in 2008 ending the year as #2 bitch and # 3 collie in
Canada
only having being shown from Feb. 2008 to May 2008. We look forward to showing her along with her little brothers Omega High Five and Omega Aristocratic, look for there web page to be added to the website in the next few days. Good luck to everyone in 2009.

Am. Ch Overland Southern Comfort obtaining his Am title owner handled. He was # 1 Male Collie in
Canada
for 2008 # 2 overall with his daughters Ch. Omega Especially Drumlin # 3 and her litter sister Ch. Omega Special Someone #5. Both these young bitches placeed in their classes at the Collie Club of America National in 2008.
